I was glancing on you surreptitiously
You were pulling your hair to the back
I silently wish you won’t catch my gaze
“Let me have this for awhile more..” I pray

Later on you were humming quietly
I didn’t like the voice
Like, at all
But I was slightly hoping that you were singing for me

What is it again that you were telling me last week?
The thing that I should do but I won’t just because
You want me to do it myself
While I secretly want you to accompany

Oh my, I should’ve not done this
This felt like a mistake
You’re not for me to hope
Cause you have someone else to love
